How Kith works
Kith is a cult memecoin with an ecosystem of its own, built for Robinhood Chain. Every wallet that holds $KITH becomes a cat on a living map. What the wallet does decides its class, and the class decides its rewards: trade and you roam, hold and you settle, stake and you guard. Rewards are paid by an on-chain season vault the team funds, and by the pools.trade creator fee for traders. Nothing lives off-chain.
Hold
Register your bag, keep it, earn a share of the daily hold pool. No lock.
Stake
Lock 1 to 30 days for a multiplied share of the stake pool.
Trade
Top traders of each Kith Leaders round share the creator fee.
The living map
The map is the world of Kith. Each holder wallet is one cat, placed on a fixed spot derived from its address (the same wallet always lands in the same region). Wanderers roam, Settlers sit at their plot, Guardians hold their keep. Hover a cat to see its wallet, class, balance and holding time; click it to pin and open its profile. Population and classes are read live from the chain and refresh every few seconds. Search any wallet from the header to jump to its profile.
Classes
A class is not a badge you buy. It is a live reading of what your wallet is doing, and it can rise or fall at any time.
Wanderer
Every wallet begins as a Wanderer. Wanderers trade, explore and keep the world in motion. Their volume feeds the creator fee that pays Kith Leaders.
- How: Trade KITH on the launch pool. Climb the weekly Kith Leaders board.
- Rewards: Leaders share from the creator fee each round, paid by rank.
Settler
Register your bag, keep at least 80% of it for 3 days and your character settles: it claims a plot, builds a home and earns a share of the hold pool. No lock.
- How: Register your bag on the Stake page and keep it above the floor for 3+ days.
- Rewards: Pro-rata share of the daily hold pool, paid in KITH.
Guardian
Stake KITH for 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days to become a Guardian. Guardians raise a keep on the map and receive the largest, multiplied share of the vault.
- How: Lock KITH in the staking contract for a fixed period.
- Rewards: Largest vault share with a lock multiplier up to 3x.
How the class is decided
- - Any open stake position: Guardian.
- - Otherwise, registered for hold rewards for 3+ days and still above the floor: Settler.
- - Everyone else: Wanderer.
Season vault
The vault is a contract that holds the season deposit and streams it at a fixed daily cap. Season 1 opens with 30M KITH bought by the team at launch, streamed at 333,333 KITH per day for about 90 days.
- - 30% of every day goes to the hold pool, 70% to the stake pool.
- - Budget is fixed, APR floats: the more KITH participates, the smaller each share. The vault always lasts the full season regardless of demand.
- - Anyone can top up. A top-up extends the season at the same daily cap. Season 2, 3... start this way.
- - Recycling: forfeited hold rewards, forfeited stake rewards and early-exit penalties are streamed back out, extending the season.
- - If nobody is registered or staked, that idle budget is not lost: it is pushed to the end of the season.
- - No function withdraws KITH from the vault. The daily cap can only be lowered.
Every number is public on the Vault page: balance, days left, paid out, recycled, live APRs.
Hold rewards (diamond hands)
$KITH is a plain ERC-20 minted by pools.trade, so the vault cannot see your transfers. Hold rewards therefore work by registration, fully on-chain and permissionless:
- 01 Press Register my bag. The vault snapshots your effective balance (wallet + staked) and starts a 3-day timer.
- 02 Rewards accrue pro-rata on your registered amount from that moment.
- 03 After 3 days you can claim. Claiming works as long as your effective balance is at or above your floor (80% of the registered amount).
- 04 Drop below the floor and unclaimed rewards are forfeited to the vault. Anyone can call
enforce()on such a wallet so it stops diluting others. - 05 Bought more? Re-register at the higher amount and keep your timer. Want out? Claim, then leave the registry.
Why registration and not automatic?
Automatic per-transfer accounting needs a token hook, and the launchpad mints the token. Registration keeps everything verifiable on-chain without an indexer or a backend, and it makes the rule explicit: register what you hold, keep it, earn.
Staking (Guardians)
Lock KITH in one of five tiers. Your share of the stake pool is weighted by amount x multiplier. Rewards are paid when you withdraw after the lock.
| Tier | Lock | Multiplier | Early exit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scout | 1 days | 1x | rewards forfeited |
| Sentinel | 3 days | 1.25x | rewards forfeited |
| Warden | 7 days | 1.5x | rewards forfeited + 2% principal |
| Keeper | 14 days | 2x | rewards forfeited + 3% principal |
| Guardian | 30 days | 3x | rewards forfeited + 5% principal |
- - Multiple positions per wallet. Principal never leaves the staking contract until you withdraw.
- - Nothing is claimable while locked; early exit forfeits everything accrued (plus the principal penalty on 7d+ tiers). Both are recycled into the vault.
- - After the lock, the position keeps earning until withdrawn, but the post-lock part is scaled to 1x (time-weighted approximation) so nobody parks a 3x position forever.
- - Staked KITH counts as held for your hold registration and never triggers a forfeit.
Kith Leaders
Wanderers keep the world moving. Kith turns on the optional pools.trade creator fee (0.05% of every trade). That fee funds leaderboard rounds (typically weekly; the cadence is announced per round): the top traders by real pool volume share it, paid by rank (not by volume) and capped per wallet, so trading against yourself never pays.
- - Rounds are published on-chain as a Merkle root together with the funding; winners claim themselves.
- - Rounds are immutable once published. Unclaimed tokens can only be swept after 90 days and roll into the next round.
- - The top three of the latest round wear a champion crown on the map until the next round is published.
Tokenomics
1,000,000,000 KITH
Fixed supply, minted by pools.trade at launch. No mint, no burn, no tax in the token.
Fair launch
Everyone, including the team, buys on pools.trade. No presale, no team allocation, no vesting.
Season vault: 30M (3%)
Bought by the team at launch and deposited. Streams 333,333 KITH/day: 30% holders, 70% stakers.
Liquidity
Uniswap v4 pool created at launch, permanently locked by pools.trade. 0.25% LP fee, of which 0.05% is the optional creator fee.
How to buy
- 01 Get an EVM wallet (MetaMask, Rabby, Rainbow) and add Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663). Bridge a little ETH for gas.
- 02 Buy $KITH on pools.trade (Uniswap v4). The Buy button on the $KITH page takes you there.
- 03 Connect your wallet here. Your cat appears on the map. Register your bag on the Stake page to start hold rewards, or lock some KITH to become a Guardian.
Contracts & security
- - RewardVault: season deposit, daily cap, hold registry, recycling. No KITH withdrawal function.
- - Staking: five tiers, positions, penalties routed back to the vault. Principal only ever returns to its owner.
- - LeadersRewards: Merkle rounds funded by the creator fee.
- - Owner powers, in full: wire the token and staking once (never changeable after), lower the daily cap (never raise it), withdraw un-streamed budget from the vault (the season shortens; rewards already accrued by users can never be touched), publish Leaders rounds, sweep unclaimed rounds after 90 days, and rescue stray tokens or ETH. Nothing lets the owner touch staked principal, accrued rewards or funded rounds.
- - Ownership is held by the team wallet today; a multisig with a timelock is planned before Season 1 goes live, and every owner action is visible on the explorer.
- - Open source and verified on Blockscout. Test suite: unit, fuzz and stateful invariants (vault solvency, registry sums, principal custody, budget ceiling).
- - No backend, no database. The site reads the chain over public RPC and the explorer API. Addresses are listed on the Vault page and in the footer.
Risks
- - KITH is a memecoin. It can go to zero. Nothing here is financial advice.
- - APRs are annualised snapshots of a fixed daily budget; they change every time participation changes.
- - Smart contracts can have bugs. Do not stake or register more than you can afford to lose until the audit is published.
- - Rewards are paid in KITH; their value depends on the market.
FAQ
Do I need to do anything to appear on the map?+
No. Any wallet holding KITH is rendered as a character automatically. The site reads balances straight from Robinhood Chain.
How do I start earning hold rewards?+
Open the Stake page and press Register my bag. That snapshots your wallet + staked balance. Rewards accrue from that moment; you can claim after 3 days as long as you keep at least 80% of the registered amount.
What happens if I sell?+
Selling less than 20% of your registered amount is fine. Fall below 80% and your unclaimed hold rewards are forfeited back to the vault; anyone can trigger that check with enforce(). Staked KITH counts as held, so staking never breaks your registration.
I bought more KITH. Do I earn on the new tokens?+
Press Update to current bag on the Stake page. Re-registering at a higher amount keeps your 3-day timer.
Where do the rewards come from?+
The team buys KITH at launch and deposits it into the season vault (30M for Season 1). The vault streams a fixed daily amount: 30% to registered holders, 70% to stakers. Kith Leaders is paid separately from the pools.trade creator fee.
Can the team take the vault back?+
Only the part that has not been streamed to anyone yet. The owner can withdraw un-streamed budget (which shortens the season, visibly), but rewards already accrued by holders and stakers, staked principal and funded Leaders rounds can never be moved by anyone but their owners. The daily cap can only be lowered.
What if the vault runs out?+
The stream simply stops. Anyone (the team, a community member) can top it up and the season continues at the same daily cap. Forfeits and penalties are recycled, which stretches the season.
Is there a backend?+
No. The website is a static Next.js app that talks to the chain through public RPC and the Blockscout explorer API. There is no database and nothing to trust off-chain.
Is KITH audited?+
The contracts are open source with a full test suite including stateful invariant tests. An independent audit is planned before Season 1 goes live on mainnet; until then, treat this as an experimental memecoin.
